A smart and soft situation

Well, I managed to do it again, last weekend I had to go to the emergency room for the sixth time this year! Like our last more than one visits, the cause for our trip to the hospital was no accident. If anything, I would say that I have to learn our lesson the taxing way, and I have to learn it numerous times before it sticks! This all happened because I got the bright plan of trying to refill the refrigerant line for our air conditioning system at home. The HVAC service worker that comes by our house every couple of weeks makes it seem so self-explanatory and self-explanatory to do, so how can you blame me? To be fair, heating, ventilation as well as A/C workers go through extensive hands-on training to perform this and hundreds of other services for HVAC equipment, so naturally she would make it seem self-explanatory. I was a fool to know that I could take any aged can of refrigerant from a hardware store, and try to fill the refrigerant line without even using the right hose. Since the hose that came with the refrigerant canister was too small, I had the bright plan to force the line open with a tool and try to “pour” the refrigerant into the air conditioning unit. As you might have already guessed, this didn’t prove successful – it did, but, result in a ton of pressurized refrigerant from inside our system being shot into our face and eyes. The nurses at the hospital told me I should be blind, and it was a fine thing I had sunglasses on when this happened. I know I need to just get over this urge to fix everything myself, and call a professional when I need a single!
