Apartment complex with fitness center

Shortly after graduating from college, my cousin and I moved south. We were unwilling to deal with the long, cold winters of the northeaster. We were looking for a change of weather and scenery. My job is entirely handled online, so I can work from anywhere. My cousin landed a really great job in her field. We both make a decent amount of money. However, we chose an apartment complex that tests the limits of our budget. We couldn’t resist the many amenities. Our apartment includes two large bedrooms with attached bathrooms, washer and dryer and a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and granite countertops. We have a balcony that overlooks a huge swimming pool. If I head out to the pool early in the morning, it’s always empty and I can swim laps for my workout. Plus, we have an on-site fitness center. I don’t even need to leave the building to access the gym. This saves me the cost of a gym membership, and I have access to every imaginable type of workout equipment. The gym at the apartment complex is open 24 hours a day, kept clean and new equipment is continually added. There is an area dedicated to strength training with weight benches, dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands and battle ropes. There’s an area with big machines such as several treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals and rowing machines. There’s plenty of room to spread out a yoga mat and stretch. Plus, there’s a water cooler, fresh towels and a bathroom. I usually have the gym all to myself. It’s like having my own private gym.
