Beach getaway-personal training before the big trip!

My partner & I are going on a beach getaway towards the end of the year, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! However, we initially did not want to book the trip. Back at the beginning of the year, neither of us felt comfortable with donning a swimsuit, as we’ve each put on a lot of weight in recent years. While the folks at the resort would not harass us over it, I did not want people to point at the twin blue whales waddling along the shore line. To gear up for the trip, we both agreed to get in shape by any means necessary. Both of us have been going to a body wellness center now for a little over four months, and it all began with a hard look at our diet. While the trainer talked to us about healthy eating & proper dieting, he also had us chart what we were eating and check our work through the week. It is not like counting calories, or sharing results with friends – it was a genuinely more personalized, and thorough approach to keep our food intake in check! We swore that we wouldn’t cheat on this diet, and that we would follow our nutritional program like it was the holy bible. From there, we carried on into building muscle! Several days a week, the cardiovascular exercise and strength training are staggered, and despite the intensity we have adapted! Our personal trainer is great at encouraging us to keep pushing, and to stay motivated. I have seen such a difference in our bodies now, and by the time we leave, our partner & I are going to look fantastic!
