My wife and I decided to go on vacation last year, and we were gone for 6 weeks.
We have a house in the mountains and we go there often during the summer. We don’t normally stay for that long, but we thought it would be nice to get out of the city for a few weeks. My wife was working hard on a big presentation and she didn’t have a single day off for three months. Six weeks in the mountains was exactly what the doctor ordered. My wife and I had a neighbor check on our house in the city every few days, just to be certain things were okay. During the last two weeks of our vacation, we received a phone call from our neighbor George. He told us that the air conditioner in the garage, was on the patio. He didn’t know what happened, and he asked if we wanted him to contact the police. I asked George to inspect the air conditioner and look for any problems. George called me back a few hours later and told me that he found some unusually large paw prints on the top of the air conditioner. We have some woods that back up to the house, and I heard there could be bears. I’ve never seen one, but we haven’t been home in a few weeks. It’s possible the bear wasn’t scared, because no one has been on the property for so long. If it was a big bear, the air conditioner was the only problem. Nothing else on the property was eve disturbed.
