Did you think that some greater buildings have several central air conditionings to cool their building? Our building is relatively small, but both of us need 7 air conditioning units to help keep our building frigid in the summer.
- We do everything that both of us can to prevent our air conditionings from failing while both of us were in the year, including enrolling in weekly inspections.
Every season, an HVAC worker visits our location & goes over every HVAC unit to make sure that things are in working order. If something needs to be substituted on our air conditionings, they hand us a estimate telling how much they will charge us to fix it. Apparently, this summer, a few of our units had some problems. All of them had capacitors that needed to be changed, & a few had extra problems. Two of the air conditionings needed to have a blower motor changed, & a single of those 2 air conditionings had a blockage in a single of the vents! One of the air conditionings had a few more serious problems that needed immediate attention. In the end, this would mean that for a few afternoons, a single or more of our air conditionings would be out of order. The temperatures would be higher in the office, but I believe it is a sacrifice that both of us have to make. Air conditioners are easier to maintain than to repair, & both of us knew that both of us would be ecstatic to have officially functioning air conditionings. Though the price was high, it would be cheaper to do this than to substitute the air conditionings. We called the HVAC company & stressed the upcoming repairs!
