My dad builds off the grid houses out of straw bales, & I recently told him that I wanted 1, but he told myself and others that he would help myself and others build 1, but explained that it would be uncommon from our official luxuries.
He started off by explaining how 1 of the big complications he had was the Heating plus A/C system.
He knows that I care about our AC device to be turned up to the max, which he says is not always possible with an off the grid house. He said I would be using a portable AC unit, instead of the nice ductless AC device that I am used to. I wouldn’t be able to add our heated flooring, & there would be no smart thermostat. I don’t mean to sound care about an Heating plus A/C snob, but I do love our new technology. I decided against the off the grid home, & instead started to build a tiny home. My system is to make a tiny beach condo that is severely energy efficient, & I will be following the energy saving tips from our dad. He commanded that since I love our air conditioner so much, I should invest in solar power to power it. He also told myself and others that he has a friend in Heating plus A/C that would be willing to supply myself and others the newest technology at a much cheaper rate than usual. I can’t wait for our new condo to be done, & I am especially happy for our new AC unit. I figure it should be pretty easy to get our beach condo ice cold, considering how tiny it will be. My air conditioner won’t have to labor too hard to cool down the house.
