How did my mom stand it? She must have gone crazy always feeling the AC and being cold.
My parents got a divorce and I received my father in the separation. I love my dad but after living with him for a few months, I understand why my mother kicked him out. The man leaves messes everywhere. He refuses to take his shoes off so mud is all over the house. He also demands meat and potatoes for every meal. The worst is probably his obsession with AC. No matter the outdoor temperature, the inside temperature needs to be arctic levels. I got him at the end of summer and he just cranked my air conditioner. It is now early fall and starting to cool off. My father still is running my AC system. I am so cold in my house, I can’t stand it. It doesn’t matter that the thermostat and AC is technically mine, my father just changes it. I have altered the thermostat and asked him to not totally lower the thermostat. Nope, I always come home after work to a house that is freezing cold. It almost feels like a gym or doctor’s office in my home now. I am worried that I will not be permitted to use my heating system in the winter. I am sick and tired of being cold all the time. How did my mom stand it? She must have gone crazy always feeling the AC and being cold. No wonder my mother has so many sweaters. AC use might not seem large enough of a problem to leave a person. But, after living with my dad for this long, I get it. The air conditioning after a while gets to you.
