Duct cleaning gets rid of bad stinks

Last June, our many sons & our fiance took a fishing charter together, then they left early in the day, spent the whole day out on the lake, & came lake apartment with a cooler of fresh fish.

The people I was with and I made lunch on the barbecue, ate on the patio & enjoyed a delicious meal.

There were a lot of filets leftover, so I froze the remainder, then i finally thawed them out to surprise our fiance & sons with a fish lunch in the middle of January. The meal wasn’t a surprise because there was no way to hide or avoid the odor. With the oil furnace operating at maximum capacity, the stink got pulled into the HVAC ducts & spread to every room in the house. The outside temperature was down to more than seven degrees, so there was no way I could open the windows & get some fresh air. I vacuumed, dusted, sprayed room deodorizers & burned scented candles, however nothing helped with the odor, however after many afternoons, I busy a repair with a professional Heating, Ventilation and A/C corporation. When the serviceman ran tests on the oil furnace, he discovered a significant accumulation of pollutants inside the ducts. The debris had absorbed the odor & was causing the stink to linger. This build up of contaminants was also restricting airflow & increasing the workload of the oil furnace. Issues with comfort, indoor air quality & higher than necessary daily bills were all because of the dirty HVAC duct. I was relieved that the duct cleaning process wasn’t overly intrusive or high-priced. It was completed in a little over an hour. The serviceman used what looked love a immense vacuum cleaner with a long hose & a brush linkment. This device discabind stubborn contaminants & debris & then sucked them up.
