Heating use in the Morning

Springtime is a odd time of year here in the southeast. It seems as if Mother Nature cannot make up her mind about which way she wants the weather to be. It is often quite cool at evening and in the early morning, but by suppertime, I am flipping on the air conditioner in our car. Normally, I do not use either the furnace or the air conditioner at this time of year. At least, if I can help it, I won’t. I love to save heating and cooling costs and there are only so several mornings per year when that is possible. Recently, it seems as if I am quite chilly in the afternoons, though. I am so cold, in fact, that I go right to that temperature control switch and turn on the furnace most afternoons. I guess the poor central heating and cooling plan must get confused periodically. My mother used to tell us adolescents that frequently switching the unit from furnace to air conditioner in the same afternoon legitimately put a lot of extra stress on the equipment. In fact, the two of us were not allowed to do that when the two of us were adolescents. I am not sure if our mother adjusted the temperature control settings in a similar fashion or not. Most likely, she did not because at that time the two of us lived much further south than I do now. It rarely got chilly down there. Well, I enjoy having the cooler weather in the afternoons and at evening because legitimately soon, it will be necessary to run the air conditioner all afternoon long. Summer is coming!
