Humidity control is so important to HVAC process

It’s that time of year again.

The time of year where all of us in this region start to acclimate to the heat. It’s really the only way to do it. There are some people who stay inside the HVAC cooling of their home and office throughout heat season. These folks only experience the outside when going from car to home or office. And typically, they also pay an exorbitant amount of money on HVAC cooling. The air conditioning is constantly running for these people. I’m not judging, but life is too short for me to stay inside the air conditioning for four or five months. That’s just not going to happen. I very much appreciate what my heat pump does for me during the summer. Still, I like to get outside and I also am not interested in breaking the bank to pay for air conditioning. So, I do my best to get accustomed to the heat and push the thermostat setting up a bit more as the heat rises. This way, I’m getting a bit of the best of both worlds. I’m not so sensitive to the heat that I can’t get outside for some fun and sun during the morning or evening hours. But I can also benefit from a house that gets the cooling benefits of the heat pump process. Plus, the heat pump is crucial in that it’s also balancing the humidity level in the house as it’s cooling the house. This is super important unless you really like mold & mildew. I don’t so I’m very thankful to enjoy the cooling comfort along with a balanced humidity level during the summer heat.
