HVAC installation for new construction home

Starting new things can sometimes be overwhelming. My wife and I just completed building our first home. We don’t plan to ever do something like this again. We waited to tackle the new construction project until were already retired. We are figuring that this will be our last home. I’m still a little overwhelmed over the number of decisions and details that went into getting the house constructed. We hired a general contractor but handled much of the work and decisions on our own. That included the Heating and Air Conditioning. My wife and I were able to be on hand at the job site every day. However, there were some aspects that had to be completed offsite. We made sure we were available to the crew everyday. Fortunately, the Heating and Air Conditioning system was a smooth part of the process. My wife and I spent a great deal of time researching various options for Heating and Air Conditioning. We took our time to find a reputable HVAC contractor to handle the job. The local heating and cooling companies were great. Most of them, however, are geared more toward commercial services. We wanted a contractor who would be knowledgeable in residential application. We eventually found an HVAC company that is factory authorized, NATE certified and guarantees their work. We were happy with the whole process. The technician was available to us at the build site or by phone whenever we had a question or concern. The HVAC company handled the design and build of the ductwork and completed the whole installation process quickly. He worked with our general contractor so that there were no delays. We are totally happy with the results.
