I guess I’m at an interesting crossroads in my life right now.
I don’t exactly live anywhere.
I am paying rent in one city but I have been living for free with my mom and another. I’m not sure what my ultimate living situation is going to be after I figure out some pressing matters. Honestly, I would love to live by myself… But I also know that this is unrealistic. Unfortunately, it turns out that central heating, cooling, and air quality control is absolutely necessary no matter where you live. As a resident of two different places, I can tell you that both of them require a lot of indoor air temperature control. In one city I rely heavily on the forced air furnace. In the other city I am a slave to my central cooling system and air purifier. Both of these HVAC equipment setups require a lot of investment to have them installed and keep them running in tip-top shape. It is not okay to own a heating and cooling system without arranging Professional heating, cooling, and air quality control maintenance appointments from time to time. On top of that, you obviously need to worry about your energy bills no matter where you live. It gets very expensive very quickly to rely on a central HVAC system when you are the only person in the house. You find yourself pumping high-quality treated indoor air through every room, only to occupy a single space yourself. All of that excessive heating and cooling operation amounts to extremely high energy bills each month if you are just a single human. This HVAC issue is why I’m pretty sure that I’m stuck with roommates, no matter where I decide to live.
