I called first, why am I last?

A couple months ago, I was sitting in the house and I knew there was something wrong with the furnace. I didn’t hear it running and it was getting cold in the house. I called the HVAC and they told me they had a couple people ahead of me. They also said they should be able to get to my house by the end of the day. The end of the day came, my home was becoming frigid and I still didn’t have a HVAC tech in my home. I called the HVAC company and they said they were extremely busy and they would get to me as soon as possible. I understood there was a blizzard going on and the temperatures had dropped to near zero. I couldn’t figure out how it could go from a couple people ahead of me to them being swamped. I called my brother to see if he could help me. I told him what was going on with my furnace and he told me he would be over as soon as the HVAC tech left. I asked him when he had called for service, since I knew we both had the same HVAC company. He told me he was lucky because he only had to wait a couple hours. Now I was angry and I called the HVAC company to see why my brother was serviced before I was. They told me that he had a maintenance and repair service plan which gave him priority service. He told me if I was a member of the maintenance and repair service plan group, I would be serviced when they were all finished. I planned on calling another HVAC company to see if I can get service sooner.
