When looking for a new house to purchase there are several things that need to be considered. Everything from the neighborhood, schools, taxes, and even features of the home. We found what we thought was the perfect house but it didn’t have one very important feature. It had no air conditioning. To me, this was a dealbreaker. My wife and family said that they loved the house and I didn’t want to disappoint them. I started looking into ways to add central air to the house. It is older construction and I really didn’t like the idea of tearing up the walls to install bulky ductwork. Because the previous owner had installed baseboard heat and a boiler. This was very efficient and did a good job in the winter. I needed air conditioning in the summer too so I started researching various ways to make that happen. I didn’t want to invest in wall mounted units but I did find that newer types of ductwork could work. They now make flexible ones that are easily passed through the walls in a similar way wiring is. It can be installed easier and without all the construction mess. Then, small vents are installed in the rooms and because the ductwork is so thin, the air is passed through with a stronger force. This is more efficient and cooling rooms quickly. I am so excited that my HVAC dealer will be able to add air conditioning to our new home. My family is thrilled with the new place and the kids have already made friends in the neighborhood. Technology is improving all the time to facilitate different situations. Even if you have tried to do something years ago and were told there was no way to have it done, you should keep checking and eventually there will be a fix for just about any problem you may have.
