I was seriously considering not having my a/c unit inspected this Spring.
When I moved into this home more than two years ago, I was diligent about having my HVAC plan inspected by an HVAC company at least twice per year.
I wanted to make sure that I was doing everything in my power to take care of my oil furnace and a/c system. I didn’t have any expertise in HVAC systems, so the best way to keep my oil furnace and a/c system running efficiently was to let a certified HVAC professional do all the work. While I enjoyed everything that the HVAC company did for my HVAC system, I never had any troubles with my oil furnace and a/c system and I didn’t suppose if that was due to the HVAC company or luck. The HVAC maintenance wasn’t terribly overpriced, however it was still an expense that I didn’t want to spend. This is why I thought that I’d try and skip my HVAC tune up this Spring season. In my mind, I thought a single HVAC tune up for the year would be fine. A few weeks into running my a/c system though, I noticed that it wasn’t performing well. My mind began to guess about all the horrible things that were going to happen if I didn’t call the HVAC corporation. An HVAC professional was able to come look at my a/c system, and he told me that my air filter needed to be replaced. It was clogged with dust and pollen, which was causing my A/C plan to work harder. If I had my HVAC plan inspected, I could have avoided it.
