I teach at the local high school

I teach English at the local high school, but most of the time, I end up encouraging my students who go to trade school here in our county if they qualify for it.

I just don’t think that everyone needs to go to college.

The fact of the matter is that not everyone is cut out for college. We really need skilled trade workers in our society, and I think that a lot of my students would do well at those sorts of jobs. I feel like the culture is finally changing when it comes to things like that, but it certainly has taken a long time. I personally think that children should be given a choice As to whether or not they want to go to college. I don’t think that they should feel pressured to do something like that if they don’t really want to. For example, several of my previous students went to our local trade school to enter the HVAC certification program there. They have done super well in the heating and cooling industry, and one of them even owns his own heating and cooling business here in town. I think that it just depends on the student as to whether or not they need to go to college or trade school. I know that the guys who entered the heating and cooling certification programs have all been very successful at it and they’re working and contributing members of society now. I think that trades like plumbing, electrical work, and heating and cooling are not considered to be as important in our society as they actually are!
