I thought fixing the furnace would be self-explanatory

I came home from work Last week and there wasn’t any heat in my house.

It was 58 degrees on the temperature control despite the fact that the heat was on.

There was no chilly air coming out of the vents and no hot air either. I knew that was a serious problem. I went downstairs to the basement to look at the furnace. I grabbed my tablet and my PC so I could look up information online. I found several helpful videos that showed myself and others how to take the furnace apart and look for problems. I truthfully thought fixing the furnace would be self-explanatory, especially after reading all of the helpful videos and problemshooting tutorials. I took the furnace apart and I thought that issue was a faulty ignition switch. I went to the hardware store and bought a new ignition switch and after that I came home and changed it. That did not repair the complication with the furnace. I tried a couple of additional things that I thought would work, although I was completely unsuccessful. I truthfully should have given up at that point, although I was convinced that I would be able to repair the problem. The next day I had to call a professional, because I couldn’t figure out how to put the furnace back together. The repairman was legitimately nice and kind and he did not laugh at the task I tried to perform. He gave myself and others a couple of useful tips for next time and explained the complication in detail just in case it happened again.
