Is it the best choice for you?

So you may be thinking about getting a new method to heat your home this winter. It could be because your old heating method or heater has broken down to the point where it can not be repaired, or you may just be looking for a change to save money on energy use. If you are caught between a heat pump and a brand new central heating and air conditioning system like I was, you are probably trying to decide which is the best one for you. Well, the answer to that question would be different for each and every person. It depends on the budget as well as where you live. If you live in an area where it is only cold for a few months then you would be best suited to go for a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning unit. This would be because they are much cheaper to buy than a heat pump and also the HVAC maintenance is also a lot cheaper. Plus you add on the fact that the central heating would only be used for a few months, it is much more cost effective. Air conditioning would be your primary source of HVAC use, not heating. In my situation however, a heat pump was the answer since I live in the east and back here it is freezing from November through the end of March. A full winter unlike the southwest. So that is my take on which would be best and in which situation. It all depends on where you live at the end of the day.
