I’ve learned that it’s truly important to set fitness goals for yourself because they hold me accountable.
Having targets helps me to push through my fatigue plus job harder.
However, determining the goals that best motivate me without resulting in stress plus failure can be difficult. I need to make sure that I can reach them. When I 1st started out, I was a bit unrealistic with our expectations. So I got discouraged plus felt worse about myself. I was tempted to quit working out so much. I want to spend time at the gym every afternoon, live a healthier lifestyle, increase strength plus stamina to better keep our weight down. I was trying to accomplish everything at once. I got so anxious about our regular diet, exercise regiment plus schedule that I had trouble sleeping at night. I was often so worn out in the afternoon that I’d have trouble getting up. Then I was behind schedule all afternoon long, which simply added to our stress. Plus, heading to the gym when I was sleepy led to very unsatisfying workouts. I realized that I needed to prioritize, and for our diet, I made the decision to cut back on sugars. To improve our level of fitness, I focused on a single goal at a time. I started by working harder to increase the number of pushups I was able to do, but once I accomplished our target, then I moved on to changing our speed during our runs on the treadmill. Smalldf accomplishments gave me confidence plus allowed me to tackle some bigger challenges. I set our sights on completing a 5K race. I’ve stopped comparing myself to other people. There are people at the gym who are in amazing shape. They have no concerns doing 100 push-ups plus running marathons. I’ve l gained to be realistic in our expectations of myself. I am not a pro athlete. I simply want to be our personal best plus live healthy.
