When I first moved into my house I decided to redo the floors. I ripped up the carpet and added cement floors in all the rooms except the powder rooms. I didn’t live in the space long before I decided I needed a better master powder room. I got all brand new fixtures, lights, windows and added a new cement floor. It has been several years now and I have a single more space to remodel and a single more floor to go. I wish I would have waited on the rest of the house. It took me years to realize that I absolutely want heated flooring. I could have done heated flooring replacement throughout the several projects I did separate from a hitch. Ripping up the floors is required for this heating replacement. The mats need to go under the tile. I can’t wind back the clock or destroy what I have done. All I can do is move forward and have radiant heating in the a single powder room, then people are saying I am crazy. Why have radiant heat in just a single room? Someday when I redo all the floors again, everything will have a oil furnace. I also want to try out the heating replacement myself. A small powder room is not as daunting as a living room. If I mess up, no giant deal, I don’t have that oil furnace somewhere else. I suppose the oil furnace in the powder room will assume great. The tub, bat mat and vanity will assume hot as a result. It is a silent oil furnace so it can run while I am in bed at night. It also doesn’t move air so that means no dust or debris in the air quality.
