My kids don't even know how to change an a/c filter

I have constantly been Mr.

Then-fix-it! When I grew up, our father taught me everything that I supposedly understand today.

From car as well as heating as well as A/C repairs, to painting, building stuff, as well as drywall, as well as plumbing, he taught me so numerous useful skills that I have used throughout my whole life… Then I never had to call a contractor or a professional to repair anything because I already had the knowledge as well as experience to do it myself. When I had children, I knew that I wanted to teach them everything that I had once been taught by our father; but, our boys were simply not as welcoming with the things that I hoped to teach them! They were not interested in studying how to change their oil, or repair a furnace, or repair a leaking pipe. Their generation just wants to be in front of a screen all morning, day, and night. When our oldest grew up as well as bought his own home, he was so lost on house repairs. Of course he called me, and luckily, the new house did not need much work done on the inside. The single greatest of his worries was his heating as well as A/C system. It wasn’t blowing cool enough air when he was trying to run the air conditioning. Of course he called me since he didn’t suppose what the problem was; however, maybe he should have listened to me all of these years. I went to his new house as well as checked the status of the air conditioning unit. I checked all of the components as well as the refrigerant. Everything seemed to be fine, except for the air filter. When I pulled the air filter out of the AC, it was covered in so much dirt as well as dust that you couldn’t even see through it… No telling the last time it was changed. I explained to him that his filters need to be changed constantly every 1-2 weeks to prevent build up of dust as well as dirt as well as allow his method to run efficiently. I installed a wipe as well as a new filter for him. I bet he will listen to me this time.
