With the constant influx of commercials & advertisements for newer & better air freshening products, it always makes myself and others wonder what sort of indoor smells are so epidemic that people need so several products to cover them up. I enjoy the smell therapy aspect of burning candles & incense, but I always make sure my cabin is clean & fresh smelling before I add on layers of varying smells & smells. I have been in multiple homes & commercial buildings where the strong earthy smell of mold was present underneath the thin & ineffective layer of desmellizer or perfume in the air. If I genuinely want my cabin smelling amazing a more natural way, I crank down my cooling system & spend a few minutes in my living room cooking meals & desserts for the week. It’s hard to beat the amazing smell of pork roast & cherry pear pie slowly cooking together in the same oven. With a strong central cooling system it’s straightforward to pull these smells from your living room air & circulate them throughout your house. There have been multiple chances where I inadvertently got my partner awake & out of bed an minute or more early in the morning just from the smell of cooking bacon alone. On the flip side, there have been times in the past where both of us had smell troubles inside that needed to be addressed, with one being a recognizably nasty episode with the animal rolling in creature droppings outside & tracking them onto the carpet. The people I was with and I had the floors cleaned instantly, however the lingering smell took sometime to dissipate. I decided to cook more than one pizzas & a pan of cinnamon rolls that day & it helped tremendously with naturally desmellizing the whole house. It’s hard to be the smell of cabin cooked food.
