I guess technology is so interesting.
There’s always a new way to do things better than before, & occasionally that “thing” is your own behaviors.
Now, technology points them out for you, but you guess how they have that app for your iPhone, that tracks your incessant screen tracking? It’s meant to help people with productivity by discouraging them from opening & closing their iPhones out of habit. It encourages you to be less reliant on your digital fidgeting. I have been thinking, it would be a good system to do something similar with smart control units. If you’re anything like me, you are a bit obsessed with indoor comfort. If I’m at home, I’m going to be comfortable. Rather than trying to modify my internal temperature with sweatshirts or clothing swings, I tend to obsess over my control component setting this. I will mindlessly rest up & walk down the hallway to check on the indoor air temperature control so multiple times throughout the day, my bad HVAC program must be confused. I guess that it’s a bad habit that I have, although I have not found a way to make myself more mindful about my control component adjustments. I have tried everything I could guess of, although I entirely need a hand from the manufacturers of our smart control units. If they could have come up with a tracking app that tells you how multiple times you changed the indoor air temperature settings, that would be entirely helpful. I guess I would be shocked to guess how reliant I am on fidgeting with my central control component settings, but my furnace & air conditioner would benefit from celebration this information.
