Selling The House Over The heating and air conditioning System

My husband and I have been debating on whether or not both of us want to sell our house… The housing market is thriving right now, so there’s a relaxing opportunity where we’d make a lot of profit from the sale… However, the house is numerous decades old and it’s in need of some attention.

The biggest thing that needs to be substituted is the heating and air conditioning system.

The modern heating and air conditioning system is almost as old as the house, and while it still heats and cools our home, it doesn’t actually run truly efficiently. The heating and air conditioning equipment is old and the smallest downside makes the entire thing run even more inefficiently; for example, if the leaves aren’t pulled back from the outdoor condenser unit, then our utility bill will double. The same can be said about replacing the air filter, if both of us kept our house, then we’d run the risk of having to swap out the entire heating and air conditioning system within the next year! New heating and air conditioning systems are numerous, and there’s regularly the opportunity that we’d have to substitute the ductwork too. From what both of us can tell, the ductwork is dirty and in desperate need of a fine clean. New ductwork is not an expense that we’re eager to pay. The heating and air conditioning system alone has our husband and I debating on whether or not both of us need to list our house. Neither of us want to spend thousands of dollars on a modern heating and air conditioning system and modern ductwork, but both of us also think that it could increase the value.
