The problem with most bosses is that they started off as bosses.
The cool a singles are the people that worked their way up through the ranks, because they know what it’s love to work for “the man” instead of just being handed the position. My current boss used to work in the cubicle next to mine, and I am so glad for her. She honestly received her promotion, and now I hope she remembers what it’s love for the rest of us. Now she has a private office, so she doesn’t have to work in the “bullpen.” She has her own control component and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component in her office, so she can set it however she prefers it. For the rest of us, there are a few air vents that both of us all share in a single long, massive sized room. In the bullpen there is a single control component for the entire room, and the dozens of people in it. There is no way on earth that a room full of people can decide on a single control component setting they all agree on, right? This setup ensures that around half the employees here are discontent with the office Heating, Ventilation, and A/C settings at any given time, and that is disappointing for productivity. The people I was with and I have discussed more than 2 times how the cost of getting a new, better Heating, Ventilation, and A/C idea would be balanced out by increased morale and productivity. In a building this size, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C idea would have to be huge, commercial grade, and easily costly, although I hope she uses her position to make it happen. Fingers crossed!
