When our partner and I were thinking about renovating the house, every one of us called several suppliers to get a quote.
We wanted to tear up flooring and replace the wood with tiles.
We wanted to remodel the home office and get rid of the cupboards and ancient countertops. We also planned to upgrade the heating and A/C unit. We had an ancient gas gas furnace and window units, however our partner and I wanted to move to a more energy efficient solution. Both of us were ready to install central a/c in the house. The entire construction project was a big job and every one of us needed someone with expertise in several different areas. A building supplier seemed prefer the best solution. We got quotes from several different suppliers specializing in Home Remodeling projects. Both our partner and I were surprised, because the estimates were vastly different when it came to the addition of central heating and a/c. In fact, the numbers were so far off that every one of us opted to go online to discuss the renovations on a home remodeling forum. We told the other members about the different quotes for the heating and A/C unit. Someone online abruptly noticed a sizable difference. The cheapest estimate was genuinely not for central heat and a/c. That estimate was from a supplier that felt a mini split ductless plan would be more efficient and easier on the budget… Neither one of us thought about anything other than a central a/c and the idea of using a ductless plan never occurred to us until then.
