Thankfully, I was able to get the fire out on our own, and it did not ruin much
I have a genuinely frosty home and an even colder living room. I do not assume why, however our home is typically colder than it should be. I have the control unit set for seventy-5 degrees, and it never gets above sixty degrees in our apartment. I told our building owner about the issue, however he has not had anyone take a look at it yet, but last winter, I lived with it, and I was fine, and this Winter is quite a bit cooler, and I think that makes a large difference; My living room is even colder than the rest of the apartment, and I think that is because there are so several windows in our living room. I thought it was certainly cool when I first moved into the apartment. I loved all of the windows. It makes the room genuinely bright and inviting, but I did not realize back then how much heat I would lose through those good windows. I bought a small space furnace to go in our living room last Winter. I used it all Winter long, and it worked good at keeping our living room warmer. I used it for the first half of this Winter as well, and it worked good until I woke up one night in horror. The furnace had caught on fire. It had melted the outlet completely. Thankfully, I was able to get the fire out on our own, and it did not ruin much. I have l acquired our lesson and I will not be using a space furnace in our living room or any part of our home ever again.
