The new manager likes the indoor temperatures cold

I work at an accounting firm.

The job pays the bills, but it isn’t very interesting. I like working with numbers and math is my jam. Most people would hate the job, but I don’t mind working on the computer everyday. I work in a medical accounting firm and we recently got a new executive in the office. The guy is a lot different than the old manager. First of all, the guy is a lot younger. He has fresh ideas and energy. The old manager sat at her desk and hardly ever moved unless there was another executive in the building. Another big difference is the fact that the new manager likes the indoor air temperatures cold. The previous manager was an older lady that liked the indoor temperature to be warm. She always complained if the temperature inside of the building was lower than 75. She kept the thermostat in the office set at 75 and most of us were uncomfortable during the winter and the summer months. The new manager immediately noticed the warm temperatures and I told everyone in the office that he prefers the temperature colder. He put the thermostat temperature at 72 degrees and asked everyone to leave the temperature alone. I actually like the colder temperatures. I was never a fan when the manager made it hot and uncomfortable. I’m looking forward to the new guy and his fresh ideas but I’m also glad to see the other person gone. I think the company is headed in a new and great direction and I’m excited about the possibilities.
