Timing my trip with the air temperature

At the same time, I’d like my outdoor climate and indoor air to be rather uncomfortable before I depart from the area

I feel like I’m being a little bit annoying right now, and I do feel bad about it. Most of the people in my life are waiting for me to make a single decision, and I have been putting it off for weeks. I don’t want to inconvenience my friends and family, but I’m also trying to be strategic with my decision. You see, I have been trying to plan a trip up north to see all of my loved ones for several months now. When the pandemic struck, I knew I wasn’t going to go anywhere for a while. When states started lifting their shelter-in-place orders, I felt like it was trying to go see my mom. Unfortunately, I don’t want to see her terrible outdoor air temperatures if I can avoid it. Because I live happily in the South while she resides in the bitter cold North, I have been trying to plan my trek around the weather predictions. I’m not a fan of experiencing the lingering cold weather conditions that plagues her area until June. Even more so, I hate the sensation of living in a forced air furnace controlled environment. I don’t appreciate how dry and stagnant indoor air gets when a home has been sealed up for 8 months with a furnace. At the same time, I’d like my outdoor climate and indoor air to be rather uncomfortable before I depart from the area. If I could turn off my central cooling system for a few brutally hot and humid weeks while I’m out of the house, I would save a ton on energy bills that I would otherwise have to budget for. So far, the air quality predictions haven’t played nicely with my plans, but I know summer heat is coming.
