Virus is a gift and curse for HVAC business

Right now is a very scary time for businesses.

A lot of places are having to close their doors because they literally can’t be open to the public.

That means, all of the people who are responsible for keeping those businesses up and running are currently out of work. I don’t know what’s going to happen with our economy or our unemployment rates when this whole thing blows over… Assuming that this whole thing blows over. That being said, I feel like there is one industry that’s blooming right now in the aftermath of this viral news marathon. The heating, cooling, and ventilation industry must be doing great. If you think about it, this pandemic hasn’t changed the public’s desire for incredible indoor comfort and high-quality indoor air. If anything, it has vastly increased our need for central heating and cooling in our homes. Because everybody is out of work right now, that means residential air quality is a massive focus at this time. Everybody wants to make sure that their air conditioning system is going to hold them over for the foreseeable future, because we might be trapped indoors at the mercy of our cooling systems for several months. At the same time, everybody is increasingly paranoid about air quality and airborne contaminants. The air quality industry has to be exploding at this point. I’m sure everybody is interested in media air purification devices and HEPA air filters for their homes, more than ever before. If there are enough healthy HVAC technicians to go around, I guarantee you that each individual heating and cooling dealership is raking in the big bucks right now.
