As soon as the weather begins to transition from cold and dreary to warm and sunny, I call my local HVAC company to schedule my biannual tune up.
In the past, I’ve learned just how important it is to call the HVAC company as soon as possible because if I don’t, it will take weeks to have my HVAC system serviced.
A lot of other homes like to have their HVAC system serviced before they switch from furnace to air conditioner too, so it’s competitive during this time. This year was no exception. I called the HVAC company and asked to schedule my biannual tune up since the weather was transitioning to spring. I thought I was calling at a reasonable time, but I was shocked when the HVAC company told me that they couldn’t service my HVAC system for two weeks. This was a lot longer than usual, so I asked them why it was going to take so long. The lady on the phone told me that they were all booked up until then because those spots were dedicated to their annual HVAC maintenance plan members. I had never heard about this program before, so I looked it up after I hung up. The company website stated that they had recently started an annual HVAC maintenance plan for a yearly fee. One of the top benefits of the program was priority scheduling! I’m glad that I called to schedule my appointment early in the season, because there’s no telling how long I would have waited if I had waited.
