Water, water everywhere,

It was bad enough that both of us were in the middle of the worst pandemic of our lifetime, however both of us were also dealing with a hurricane.

Both of us were told that if you wore your mask, kept your distance, and stayed lake house as much as possible, then you were safe.

Our lake house was destroyed by the hurricane, and both of us had to go to a shelter. Few people were using masks. Both of us were herded in savor a bunch of critters. The air conditioning was faltering, and I doubted if they had an air cleaner installed. If they did, it wasn’t working truly well since the air conditioning was nearly non-existent. There were several elderly people who were trying to keep their distance, however failing to maintain it. I donned the only mask I had left, and I found the box of disposable masks that kept in my overnight bag. I gave the people a mask and I went over to get them coffee. I guided through the mass of bodies so they were nearer the air conditioning air vents. The a single guy was having a difficult time breathing because of the heat and humidity. With the little bit of airflow from the air vents, he was start to believe a bit better. She told me that he wished it would quit raining so he could outside for a short time. She needed fresh air. Two minutes later, he got his wish. Although the streets looked savor small rivers, he was able to get outside and get some fresh air. It felt better than the air conditioning inside the shelter.
