In our neck of the woods, the two of us have a lot of Stormy Weather. It constantly rains, & fog covers much of the area. I don’t mind the rain, but thunderstorms can be frightening. When thunderstorms bring terrible flooding, there are a lot of problems! Last Springtime, the two of us endured constant rain for 17 afternoons in a row. Many of the major rivers were cresting, & all of the small tributaries were flooded completely! A lot of part homes had flood disfigure, including mine & many of our neighbors. We live in a low-lying area, not too far from the river basin. This was the first time the two of us had so many homes flooded at a single time. Some part companies gave services to help with the problems. The dry cleaner gave $1 services for a full month after the flood. The grocery store had food clearances. The Barnes & Noble provided shelter & blankets for those stranded. Even a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company came to the rescue. They gave to come out to our properties & perform an inspection on our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. All of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit needed to be recertified after the storm waters flooded most of our homes. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company didn’t charge anything to inspect the equipment. We filled out a form, & I know they submitted those forms to a government agency. I was really lucky, because our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit had no disfigure. Many of our neighbors had to replace the entire system. Flooding waters caused mangle to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C electrical components. The wetness causes rust, & that can cause a number of Heating, Ventilation, & A/C malfunctions. The company decided to recommend replacing those systems.
