What is happening here

Moving into a new town is never easy when you are on your own. When you have a family, or are moving into a place with friends, then there is built in support system right there. For me, moving across the country for a new job, I was riding solo and I didn’t have any friends or family in my new town. To make it worse, I couldn’t yet afford to pay for movers, so unloading the truck at the new house was going to be just me, and I knew it was going to be a nightmare. When I arrived, I went inside and turned on the lights and the air conditioning so I could get the feel for the place. The AC worked really well, and I was happy about that, but it did not last. Before long it felt like the cooling was wearing off, and just when I needed it the most thanks to all this lifting and carrying. I called the number I had been given for the apartment complex super, who came by to look at the AC. He informed me, very quickly, that the problem wasn’t with the HVAC system, it was because I had left all the doors open. The cooling was just pouring out into the night, and I was exerting myself so much it made me feel much hotter than normal. Long story short, the super helped me finish moving in all my stuff, we closed the doors, and then what do you know, the AC felt great once again.
