Wow it’s hot!

There’s nothing as humbling as attempting a simple repair or service, only to find that the process is all however simple. When I tried to change the oil for our beat-up ancient pickup truck, I went into it with a drain pan, a screwdriver, 5 quarts of fresh oil as well as our own foolish ambition. Three thirds later, I emerged from the ordeal covered in slick oil as well as grease, bruises as well as cuts on our hands, as well as 5 wasted quarts of oil due to our ignorance, but did you notice that I forgot an oil filter when I listed our supplies for the “easy fix”? Yeah, our point exactly! Anyway, I went through a undoubtedly similar ordeal when I decided I would perform our own seasonal heating as well as a/c program check-up. The method was as straightforward as it goes: change the air filter, vacuum the air duct, check the refrigerant line as well as hose out the coils as well as fins of the air conditioning system unit. My first issue came from buying the wrong size for our air filter, so that had to be bumped back on our to-do list for this check-up, but next, I realized that our vacuum couldn’t reach more than a foot into the air duct separate from hitting an elbow in the duct’s layout, meaning I needed a special hose to clean the ducts. That too got bumped back! Then, I tried to check the refrigerant line, as well as managed to spray our legs with ice-cold refrigerant as I disaffixed the hose, then utterly upset, I didn’t even bother trying to hose the coils down as I didn’t see the point, as something would undoubtedly go wrong. It’s a wonderful thing I didn’t – the power was still on for the system, so I undoubtedly would’ve electrocuted myself while trying to hose down the fins of the air conditioning system system!
