I had been put out of my job around 5 years because of a pretty serious injury.
Since I did not obtain the injury while working, I was not fully compensated and ended up losing many of my possessions. I actually had been residing in a homeless shelter for approximately a year now and it was not all that bad. At least it was better than trying to get sleep on the streets. The shelter offered perfectly warm food and a venue to lay your head even though it was not regularly warm. I had enough of spending nights while wearing all my clothes because it was too freezing. I spoke to the administration to permit me to fix the central heating machine in order to improve indoor comfort. Having been a Heating as well as Air Conditioning professional I knew my way around the electric heating machine. I did the furnace/heater maintenance on the hydronic heating machine that had died long ago. While performing a furnace/heater service, I came to find a plugged up air filter which is certainly the reason why the central a/c machine had quit working. The administration, though they did not have a bunch of spending money, was entirely supportive and obtained the shelter a few parts of heating and cooling components that were required to maintain the Heating as well as Air Conditioning machine. I took my time doing work on the HVAC machine as I had to improvise as the HVAC machine was ancient and some parts were not available at the heating machine business. The heating industry had grown a pretty good amount and most of the machines were now relatively aged. I also managed to seal up the cracks that were on the gas heating machine. All of us could now control the temperature from just about anywhere within the shelter with the wireless temperature control. After merely 3 days, we were all gleeful to be in a warm bed and warm building. I was happy to see the women with toddlers and infants were especially comfortable.
