It isn't cheap to replace your HVAC system

In a panic, Cassie called me because her HVAC unit malfunctioned in her condo and the technician told her that she needed a replacement.

I bought an older house for my daughter a few years ago.

The timing was perfect because she had just graduated from university and started working. Her mortgage could be paid by herself. She had some minor maintenance problems over the years, but nothing major. The most expensive thing to replace in your home is a broken HVAC system. The average cost of a new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system is between $5,000 and $10,000. Based on the size of the unit, the size of the home, and the efficiency rating of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, the cost can vary. Cassie’s home isn’t too big. It is 1,200 square feet and has two bedrooms. Thus, the cost of her new HVAC unit should be lower. I’m wondering if she would be willing to get a window unit until we figure out how to cover the cost of a new heating and cooling system for her home. Cassie will insist on paying back her dad if he offers to help with the costs. As a temporary solution, I will suggest that she install a window air conditioner and perhaps install ceiling fans in the other rooms of her house. Cassie can then decide what is the best option for a new Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit.
