Finding heating and cooling companies that have reasonably affordable maintenance services can be tumultuous but thanks to the internet and review sites, this process has well been simplified over the years.
- Some companies have good reviews but once you get the technicians, you find out that they are rude and some are not well conversant with their craft.
There is nothing as annoying and exasperating as a technician who has no idea what to do when dealing firsthand with a dead unit. I called me praising a team of a/c professionals that had come to her house to perform semi-annual home services which included checking on her highly ranked new air conditioning unit with 16 SEER ratings. Mum was praising the technicians because they were kind, eloquent, and seemed to know their jobs. They had offered to also perform heat pump service on her propane boiler which they discovered had a leak that would have been fatal if they had not repaired it with the new heating equipment. The unit was now back to providing quality heating and air cooling after the air filter was changed. Because the ductwork sealing was done by the same local service provider, they had used air quality systems to increase indoor comfort. The technicians kept informing mum of all the steps they took, they also upgraded the thermostat to ensure easy temperature control. Though she ended paying a little more than what she paid for the annual tune-ups, mum did not mind since the aid she had received was top quality. The technicians were kind, informative, and very helpful. They also had on the correct gear for the job as well as additional masks that they kept on the entire time.
